PHOTO LITHOGRAPHY ON CLAY

 Another technique we had been taught is a photo transfer technique on the ceramic surface . 

My idea is to show FLYING CURRENCY of current situations of the financial issues of our country . It an installation project . The site was the wall of our college ATM area wall . 

First I look for different types of birds in a geometric form . Then take a print out of them . 

For this I make a slab from red clay . 

When slab is made leave it to leather hard situation .

Then putting print cut out onto the slab and cut the shape of the bird out .

After is mold making happen . It’s a one piece mold . 

PRESS MOLDING ;

     I worked with press molding technique. For this I used stoneware clay . It a pinkish white clay temp of 1100 c . Not very high temperature clay body it is . First the layer of the clay added into the mold then it will be filled with the clay bites and then cleared the sides . Then press the clay outside the mold . So we have our desire design of the bird .

PHOTO PRINTING LITHOGRAPHY;

     I take out the zerox print of the currency note . 

Making ink for this process is very important . For this we need oil and ceramic stain of your own choices , then mix it well about 15 minutes . Then set aside for one day to set . 

After ink making process with the help of print making technique I transfer the photo onto the wings of the birds where it will be visible to the viewer . 

Next it go for dry and set for firing on 1100 c or maximum accordingly to the clay body temperature .
